Led by Ciné Institute Co-Director Paula Hyppolite and Campus Sustainability Officer Sylvio Juste, we are embarking on an ambitious strategy to green our campus and produce our own food. Extensive fruit tree planting took place last rainy season. Cherry, papaya, coconut, mango and many other saplings are sprouting all over campus. A nursery of medicinal plants and flowers is also overflowing and an extensive vegetable garden is underway. Most recently we have added a tilapia pond which will eventually be turned into a large scale fish farm able to provide food for staff, students and local community members. Chicken and egg production is in the near future!
